Apple Fritter Bread Directions:

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

  • In a small bowl, combine Swerve brown sugar and cinnamon.

  • In a large bowl, mix Swerve granular sugar and applesauce until blended.

  • Add eggs one at a time, mixing well. Stir in vanilla extract.

  • In another bowl, whisk flour and baking powder.

  • Add dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with 1/2 cup almond milk.

  • Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan.

  • Add half of the apples and half of the cinnamon-sugar mixture.

  • Add remaining batter, then the rest of the apples and cinnamon-sugar mixture, pressing lightly.

  • Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top browns too quickly, cover loosely with foil during the last 15 minutes.

  • Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool fully.

  • For the glaze, whisk Swerve powdered sugar with 2–3 tsp almond milk until smooth.

  • Drizzle over the cooled bread.
